A change of plans

Joella just bought herself another 24 to 48 hours in the hospital when she spiked a high fever this morning. In a way, it's a relief to know we won't be sent home right away, and that she's already here when she spiked a fever. Her chemo is delayed until her fever is gone, but they'd like for her to still have the chemo today.

The Absolute Neutrophil Count tells us how well her body can fight off infections. When her ANC is below 500, she is very susceptible to infections and extra precautions must be taken. Right now Joella's ANC is 10. So please do not visit the hospital or our home if you have any symptoms. Thank you!

We continue in prayer for your family. It brings back memories of when we had Jerry on a heart IV 8 hours a night. Jenny and I can tell you from first hand experience that there are major miracles that happen at Children's Mercy Hospital.

God is watching over you. I pray that you strongly feel God's loving arms through all of your church family's prayers. Camp on Psa 34.

    In His grip,
    Van & Jenny

  7. this forum is wonderful so as we are praying for all of you we can be up to date and not put you in a position of repeating everything over and over all day. your communication skills are making this very easy as well. May God Bless and watch over you all and the caregivers. i feel that God is going to bring you all through this and show us all just how loving He is. prayers are continuous and we love you all. please post if you have any needs that the church family can help with, we are here for you.

  8. Kerry,

As I read your last two postings, I am astounded by your strength. You are such wonderful parents. I am following your lead and praising God in the midst of this storm because of what He is GOING TO do. I can't help but think that God is going to do something amazing in and through little Joella's life. We are lifting our hearts and prayers to Him today for this little Angel. We pray for Joella's strength, as well as for your family's strength, and for God to continue to be glorified through this beautiful life.

    Love,
The Stout Family (Tatiana, Craig, Jack and Maren)

"Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He's done. If you do this, you'll experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and your minds as you live in Christ Jesus..."
